Journey for Justice Kicks Off in the Central Valley

Friday, February 8 through Sunday, February 10, 2019: A national book tour for “Journey for Justice: The Life of Larry Itliong” kicks off with a three-day event and pilgrimage to Delano, California. 

The first nonfiction illustrated children’s book about Filipino American history, and the first book ever written about unsung labor leader Larry Itliong, co-founder of the United Farm Workers (UFW) and his migration to the United States and lifelong fight for a farmworkers union. 

WHEN: The three-day event runs Friday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 10.

Most of the programming will take place in the Historic Filipino Community Hall (“Filipino Hall”)
